Geohazard Risk and Design

Enbankment collapse next to lake.jpg

Geohazards occur from changing geological conditions, caused both by natural phenomenon, and more recently human activity. The adverse impact on the land can be seen in various forms including changing slope stability, flooding of settlements and rock fall. Uncorrected, geohazards can cost an economy $10 trillion a year.

Base Geotechnical uses tools and scientific methods to determine potential geohazards at construction sites and remedy them. We assess the potential risks and work efficiently to mitigate them. Often, this involves setting up netting, anchors and scaling the slopes as required.
